L“”Seeing oneself as above others is not okay. To a certain extent, it is human nature. But, it is one of the choices that we make. When someone says their religion is better than mine, or their culture is better than mine or yours……………well, that is an opinion. In your heart, you may think of it as fact. But, that certainly doesn’t give anyone the right to force the way they look at things upon another. No. Simple as that. It’s wrong. But, long before manifest destiny, groups have been forcing their beliefs on others.
I went to camp for 9 straight years: YMCA/YWCA camp. The kids who went some time before me think of it as a Christian Camp. I guess it was technically. I didn’t. I didn’t want it to be. It was spiritual and we had chapel and used the word God. But, there was much more………………….a spiritual group of crazy girls. But, there is nothing like a group singing together.
To take a moment away from all the evil by some and wrong (going against our country – our Constitution), I though of this song and then camp.
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never walk alone

And this magical song, though it appears to have been just created – magical when one group sings one part.
